I love Catelyn, and I had this idea of drawing her with a limited palette using the Tully colors... and it turned out like this. I know I have morbid tastes in fanart, but this is a bit angsty even from me. :P

I remember writing my comments for this in a notepad when I first saw it, but I can't find the file now. Anyway, I think drawing morbid art that strikes a chord in people without managing to look tacky is a challenge. This manages to do that without giving any spoilers also.

I'm looking forward to season 3 and dreading it at the same time- it's especially hard when the Starks are your favorite ASoIAF family.

Oh no, Cat ; A ;'

I really enjoy the effect of the river and the way it travels into the distance, as well a the ripples around lady Catelyn herself. I also love the swords. I love how they look as they get further back, and the fact they're only on the edges of the river gives this effect of creating the same feeling as crosses. It feels like she's in a graveyard, the division of two halfs of a battle, with only swords to mark the lives lost.

I might be taking it more symbolically than you intended, but I think it's pretty cool even if it wasn't done consciously! ' v '
