Artist's Comments
"In this way, Sweeney and Mrs Lovett's split-site enterprise offers a mini-allegory of modern capitalism, with its penchant for suppressing the link between production and consumption, obscure raw material and final, pristine commodity." -- from some review in the Times Literary Supplement.
This image basically would not leave me alone until I had finished it. I know there are problems as far as perspective goes, but right now I'm kind of ridiculously happy with it. (See details here.) While working, I had on repeat every version of "God That's Good" I could find. I love how in the stage versions he calls her upstairs just so they can geek out over his chair. Brush used for the pattern in the glove thingies came from here. Sweeney Todd © Tim Burton, Stephen Sondheim. How gratifying for once to know that those above will serve those down below~ |

...By the way, aren't you the Andreal who made "No rest for the wicked"? I WORSHIP your comic. It's the best online comic I've ever read - and trust me I tried many of them!

(Andrael, you already know I adore you, since I'm the nutter who cosplayed as Perrault all those years ago. XD)
